From Courtrooms to Champions: NLU Sonipat Claims Victory at 2nd DGIM National Moot Court Competition 2026

The Delhi Global Institute of Management (DGIM) is proud to announce the successful conclusion of the 2nd National Moot Court Competition 2026, held from April 16th to 18th.

Under the visionary supervision of Prof. (Dr.) Nikhil Kashyap (Dean, Dept. of Law) and Convenors Ms. Ripdiman Kaur (HOD Law) and Ms. Soumya Sharma, the competition provided a prestigious platform for budding legal minds to showcase extraordinary legal prowess and intellectual rigor.

The Road to the Finale

The three-day event followed a rigorous elimination format:

  • April 16: 22 teams from premier law institutions across India participated in the intensive Preliminary Rounds.

  • April 17: The intensity escalated as 8 teams battled in the Quarterfinals, leading to a high-stakes Semifinal round featuring the top 4 contenders.

  • April 18: The Grand Finale witnessed the top 2 teams locking horns in a sophisticated battle of legal wit and research.


Adjudicated by Legal Luminaries

The Final Rounds were presided over by a stellar panel of the judiciary, offering students a rare opportunity to argue before:

  • Hon’ble Justice Mr. Harvir Singh, Judge, High Court of Judicature at Allahabad.

  • Hon’ble Justice Ms. Sangita Dhingra Sehgal, President, Delhi State Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission & Former Judge, Delhi High Court.

  • Mr. Pramod Kumar Goel, Former District and Sessions Judge (UP) & Former Director, SLS, Shobhit University.
